“These doors will make life easier for a lot of fans,” said Billhimer, executive vice president of Live! Cordish Companies of Philadelphia. “Citizen Bank Park is right there, obviously the Linc (Lincoln Financial Field) is behind it and the Wells Fargo Center is right across the street.”

COVID-19 has put an end to any thoughts of a full reopening, but Live! Philadelphia plans to move forward with a Feb. 11 opening with safety measures in place.

In addition to steps like required masks and limited features, Live! The Philadelphia gaming experience will have built-in technology to create a safe atmosphere.

Live! Philadelphia boasts a 12-story, 208-room hotel comprised of 30 suites with spectacular city views. Joyce said the facility has already started looking at room reservations.
Live! Philadelphia has a 15,000-square-foot event center capable of hosting meetings and entertainment for up to about 1,100 guests, according to Joyce.
The project is expected to create about 2,000 jobs and bring $2 billion in economic stimulus to Philadelphia, according to The Cordish Companies. School District of Philadelphia.
Cordish owns the nearby Xfinity Live! at the Philadelphia Sports Complex and operates similar gaming facilities in Maryland in addition to sports and entertainment venues across the country.

Live! Philadelphia is entering a market that includes nearby River Casino, Parx in Bensalem, Harrah’s in Chester and Valley Forge Casino Resort in King of Prussia.
The new operation will also try to lure loyal gamers to Atlantic City with what it considers a comfortable and attractive home.
“We’re right off (Interstate) 76 and 95,” Billhimer said. “Obviously the stadium was built for people to come in and out and we’re in a great place. So I think it’s easy for us to get from Central to South Jersey. Why go to the Atlantic. A city where you have all the amenities?”
Live! A series of preview days are scheduled for January 19th in Philadelphia for the Live! Reward club members before opening to the public at 8 p.m. February 11.
