Casino Live – Life! The Philadelphia Casino & Hotel in the South Philly Stadium District opened last week for reservation-only tours, which you can schedule on their website. Full opening on February 11. This new casino hotel is less than 6 miles from the Brooklawn Shopping Center!

The property was originally the site of the Stadium Holiday Inn, which was demolished to make way for a casino complex, new hotel tower and parking garage. Phillies’ Citizen Bank Park Stadium is not too far behind the casino and can be seen from hotel rooms on that side of the building.

Life! The Philadelphia property was developed by private Cordish, who also own the Xfinity Live complex in Wells Fargo! They own more than 25 entertainment properties, including casinos in Maryland and Pittsburgh.

So how early is this media preview tour? At that time, the 10th Street Market was still under heavy construction.

We peaked behind the curtains and even though it looked like there was a lot of work left we were told by Cordish Pres Rob they would be opening a few days later (for last weekend). I was hoping to stop back and get pictures of the finished eating and drinking area but what a shame!
We actually started the tour with the hotel… I swapped the posts for what I thought was the order of how visitors would experience things!
